Baseball Game Preview: Jordan Hubmen / Jaguars vs. La Crescent Lancers

The Jordan Hubmen / Jaguars will head out on the road to face off against the La Crescent Lancers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Jordan has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while La Crescent will arrive with six straight victories.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Jordan and Delano, and Delano kept the tradition alive. The Hubmen / Jaguars took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Thursday.

Meanwhile, La Crescent has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 2.6 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They walked away with a 17-13 win over Rushford-Peterson.

La Crescent's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Jordan, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Jordan skirted past La Crescent 3-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hubmen / Jaguars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
