Softball Recap: Anderson County Triumphs

Anderson County's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Heritage Mountaineers, sneaking past 14-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mavericks have posted since April 4th.

The team relied heavily on Bella Brummett, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Reece Brock, who went 2-for-5 with three runs and one double.

Anderson County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
