Softball Game Preview: South Central Trojans vs. Monroeville Eagles

South Central hasn't had much luck against Monroeville recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Trojans will head out to challenge the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. South Central has given up an average of 9.3 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

South Central lost 11-5 to St. Paul on Tuesday.

Zaida Myers made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Sydnee Middaugh, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Meanwhile, Monroeville came up short against Western Reserve on Tuesday and fell 8-4.

South Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Monroeville, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

South Central might still be hurting after the 13-0 defeat they got from Monroeville in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
