Basketball Game Preview: Post Falls Trojans vs. Coeur d'Alene Vikings

Post Falls hasn't had much luck against Coeur d'Alene recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Post Falls Trojans will welcome the Coeur d'Alene Vikings at 6:30 p.m.

Post Falls is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Coeur d'Alene on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Post Falls had to suffer through a 77-40 loss at the hands of Coeur d'Alene. The Trojans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-22.

Coeur d'Alene's win came from a few key players Post Falls will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brookeslee Colvin, who went 9 for 11 on her way to 23 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. The contest was her fifth in a row with at least 21 points. Lexie Wheeler was another key player, going 7 of 12 to rack up 16 points along with seven assists and four steals.

The victory was the ninth in a row for Coeur d'Alene, bringing their record for this year to 15-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.2 points. As for Post Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.
