Basketball Recap: International Community Falls Despite Big Games from Caleb Farrell and Paxton Boaz

On Tuesday, the International Community Comets came up short against the Freedom Patriots and fell 68-56. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, International Community had strong showings from Paxton Boaz, who posted 15 points along with eight assists and six boards, and Caleb Farrell, who went 8 of 13 en route to 18 points and seven rebounds. Boaz has been hot recently, having also posted three or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Slade Woodruff, who scored 11 points.

International Community's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Freedom, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season.

International Community wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 93-85 defeat against Cornerstone Charter Academy on the 31st. Freedom has also already played their next matchup (against Faith Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
