Softball Game Preview: Caston Comets vs. Triton Trojans

The Caston Comets will take on the Triton Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Caston's offense. They fell 4-0 to Winamac on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Triton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 16-2 to North Judson-San Pierre.

Caston has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's still a better percentage than their 4-13 record this season. As for Triton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-18.

Everything went Caston's way against Triton in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Caston made off with a 14-1 victory. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
