            The North Broward Prep Eagles will face off against the Boca Raton Bobcats at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. The timing is sure in North Broward Prep's favor as the  squad sits on five straight wins at home while Boca Raton has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
On Thursday, North Broward Prep sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  2-1  win over Pine Crest. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Eagles have posted  against the Panthers since May 1, 2017.

 Jack Rostock tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  strikeouts (five).
 On the hitting side, North Broward Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Anthony Mestre, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.  Adrian Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as  he  snagged his first  stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when  Boca Raton duked it out with Chaminade-Madonna on Tuesday. Boca Raton took  an  8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chaminade-Madonna.
  Aidan Donnelly was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 North Broward Prep has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record  this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. Boca Raton's loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
