Baseball Recap: Inderkum Comes Up Short

Inderkum and Granite Bay squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Inderkum had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 5-4. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Jaylen Dawson and Owen Inderkum did some serious damage despite the final result: Dawson went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI, while Inderkum went 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. Dawson is becoming a predictor of Inderkum's success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 2-1 (and 11-15 when he doesn't).

Inderkum's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Granite Bay, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-17 record.

Inderkum does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Granite Bay, they will challenge Davis Sr. at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Grizzlies' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
