Softball Recap: Somonauk Finds Home Field Redemption Against Indian Creek

There's no place like home for Somonauk, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over the Indian Creek Timberwolves on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Bobcats: when they faced off against the Timberwolves last Monday, they had to take a 5-2 defeat.

Brooke Bahrey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Ady Werner was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Kennedy Barshinger was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
