Softball Recap: Union Grove's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Union Grove strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Wilmot Panthers with a sharp 14-4 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-2 last Tuesday.

River Jamison was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Olivia Czuk, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.

Jamison wasn't the only one making solid contact: Union Grove kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.

Union Grove pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Wilmot, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Coming up, Union Grove will venture away from home to take on Kenosha Bradford at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Wilmot, they will head out to square off against Burlington at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
