Baseball Recap: Amherst County Comes Up Short

If Amherst County was riding high fresh off their 23-3 takedown of Heritage on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lancers fell just short of the Brookville Bees by a score of 9-8 on Friday. The Lancers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bees earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Amherst County has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Brookville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.
