Stonington extended the longest winning streak in Eastern Connecticut - Small this week by beating Griswold, 28-7. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Bears.
Plainfield led the league in scoring this week after putting up 29 points on Killingly.
Killingly's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Redmen feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dezmond Kennawi has thrown for 468 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Nick Hewitt has 15 catches for 232 yards. Tyler Stucke leads the league in rushing with 785 yards.
A big matchup in Eastern Connecticut - Small this week will be when St. Bernard-Norwich RVT takes on the Redmen. At the moment, the Saints are in fifth, while Killingly is in fourth.
The Panthers made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,912 from 8,702. The improvement was the result of 29-8 victory over Chad Neal's team last week.
