Softball Recap: Mountain Home Has No Trouble Against Minico

Mountain Home won the last time they faced Minico and things went their way on Saturday too. The Tigers put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 15-7 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

The team relied heavily on Orie Rau, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March. Dalice Castillo was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Mountain Home kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.

Mountain Home's win bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Minico, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-18.

As of now, neither Mountain Home nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
