Volleyball Recap: Sophie Staroba Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy

The Prentice Buccaneers earned a 2-0 win over Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy on Tuesday.

Prentice's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophie Staroba, who had six aces and three digs. Those six aces gave Staroba a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Piper Heikkinen, who had 12 digs and one assist.

The win got Prentice back to even at 1-1. As for Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Prentice didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Gresham Community on the 26th. As for Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Chequamegon on the 26th.
