Volleyball Recap: Immaculate Heart Academy Finds Playoff Glory Versus Kent Place

It's playoff time, and Immaculate Heart Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Kent Place Dragons with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The Blue Eagles haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

While Immaculate Heart Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Kent Place scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-20.

Leading Immaculate Heart Academy to victory were Kristen Lee and Adrielle Crump. Lee had 13 digs and one block, while Crump had 18 kills and six digs. Lee is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last 25 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lilith Roman, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Immaculate Heart Academy's victory bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Kent Place, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.

Looking ahead, Immaculate Heart Academy will face off against Academy of the Holy A at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kent Place does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
