It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Troy can now relate to. They fell just short of the Wellsboro Hornets by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Troy actually scored more points across those five sets (106-93), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 19-25, 9-25, 25-21, 15-13.

Despite the defeat, Troy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Haidyn Watson had 17 digs. Those 17 digs set a new season-high mark for Watson.

Wellsboro got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylor Main out in front who had 14 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Main has posted in her last six contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddy Cruttenden, who had 26 digs and two aces.

Troy's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-3-1. As for Wellsboro, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

As of now, neither Troy nor Wellsboro have any future games scheduled.
