Football Recap: Fremd Piles Up the Points Against Schaumburg

Fremd won the last time they faced Schaumburg and things went their way on Friday too. The Vikings blew past the Saxons 41-7. With the Vikings ahead 34-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Fremd had a senior duo take command as Johnny O'Brien threw for 337 yards and five TDs and Marquan Brewster picked up 172 receiving yards and a pair of scores. With that strong performance, Brewster is now averaging an impressive 100.6 receiving yards per game. Another player making a difference was Ben Riddle, who picked up 64 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

The victory made it two in a row for Fremd and bumps their season record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 20 points in those games. As for Schaumburg, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
