Basketball Recap: Oakdale Comes Up Short

Oakdale lost against Rockwood back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Oakdale Eagles fell 50-43 to the Rockwood Tigers. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Rockwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adrian Darby led the charge by going 6 of 9 to rack up 13 points and six rebounds. Keegan Koch was another key player, going 5 for 6 en route to 10 points and six boards.

Oakdale's defeat dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Rockwood, their victory bumped their record up to 7-16.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakdale will take on Coalfield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oakdale is facing Coalfield at the right time seeing as Coalfield is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Rockwood, they will be playing at home against Midway at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
