Preview: Swink Lions vs. Swallows Charter Academy Spartans
Swink has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Swallows Charter Academy Spartans at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Swink suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Friday. Their rough 76-54 loss to Walsenburg might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Swink has suffered against Walsenburg since February 3, 2017.
Meanwhile, Swallows Charter Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 68-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Peyton. While losing is never fun, Swallows Charter Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while Peyton is ranked 100th).
Swink has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Swallows Charter Academy, they bumped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight at home.
Swink didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Swallows Charter Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 39-35 win.
