Football Recap: Bishop Fenwick Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bishop Fenwick can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Fairhaven Blue Devils and fell 49-20. The Crusaders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Fairhaven found their leader in sophomore Kyle Soares, who rushed for 201 yards and two scores on only 13 carries, and also picked up 44 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 201 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Soares.

Bishop Fenwick's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5. As for Fairhaven, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Coming up, Bishop Fenwick will take on St. Mary's at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Spartans' defense has only allowed 13.9 points per game this season, so the Crusaders' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Fairhaven, they will challenge Dartmouth at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.
