Volleyball Recap: Miami Valley Christian Academy Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Miami Valley Christian Academy waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Clermont Northeastern Rockets by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Charlotte Strouble had an outrageously good game as she had 19 digs and five assists. That's the most digs she has posted over her last seven matches. Ayla DeBra also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Miami Valley Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 24 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

McKenna McEvoy and Gracey Elfers certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. McEvoy had 12 digs and four aces, while Elfers had 11 digs. McEvoy is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Miami Valley Christian Academy's record now sits at 14-3. As for Clermont Northeastern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.

Looking ahead, Miami Valley Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. As for Clermont Northeastern, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Peebles on the 27th.
