Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McDowell). They breezed past the Asheville Cougars to the tune of 98-68 on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won six in a row.

McDowell had a senior duo take command as Derrick Forney Jr posted 24 points and Kyson Rinnert put up 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Parkins, who earned 12 points.

When it comes to explaining why Asheville lost, don't look at Andre Thomas. Despite the final result, he went 8-for-16 to rack up 21 points and four steals. Ford Daniels was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists.

McDowell's win bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Asheville, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-21.

Looking ahead, McDowell will face off against T.C. Roberson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in McDowell's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches. Asheville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
