Football Game Preview: Calvary Baptist Cougars vs. Noli Indian Braves + Official Tickets

The Calvary Baptist Cougars will take on the Noli Indian Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Calvary Baptist will be strutting in after a victory while Noli Indian will be coming in after a loss.

Calvary Baptist is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Public Safety Academy 72-20. Considering the Cougars have won seven contests by more than 45 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Zaedik Mcphail produced another solid performance picking up 142 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making two total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Gavin Quizon was another key player, picking up 120 receiving yards and one score.

Calvary Baptist didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dominic Neal and Mcphail. Calvary Baptist got some further help from Noah Edwards: he picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Noli Indian played against Lancaster Baptist two weeks ago and lost via forfeit.

Calvary Baptist pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.6 points on average over those games. As for Noli Indian, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Everything came up roses for Calvary Baptist against Noli Indian when the teams last played back in August, as the team secured a 64-0 win. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Braves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
