Basketball Game Preview: Lawrenceville Indians vs. North Central Thunderbirds

The Lawrenceville Indians will head out to challenge the North Central Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Lawrenceville strolled past Non Varsity Tournament Opponent with points to spare, taking the game 47-31. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Addeline Sanders was her usual excellent self, going 9 for 22 on her way to 24 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Hughes, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 10 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, North Central earned a 48-38 win over Covenant Christian on Saturday.

North Central's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Lawrenceville, their record now sits at 8-9.

Lawrenceville came up short against North Central when the teams last played back in January of 2020, falling 87-79. Can Lawrenceville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
