Basketball Recap: Garfield Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Garfield can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 77-49 loss at the hands of the North Thurston Rams. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Thurston's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shayla Cordis, who posted 23 points in addition to seven steals and six rebounds. The contest was Cordis' eighth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Soraya Ogaldez, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 11 boards.

Garfield's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for North Thurston, their win bumped their record up to 29-2.

Garfield has already played their next game (against Mountain View), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. North Thurston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
