Softball Recap: Masterman Comes Up Short

After flying high against Girard Academic Music Program two weeks ago, Masterman came back down to earth. Masterman came up short against Science Leadership Academy on Monday, falling 16-3. Masterman hasn't had much luck with Science Leadership Academy recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Masterman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Margaret Olsen, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Masterman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Science Leadership Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Masterman will be playing at home against Constitution at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Generals will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Masterman surely won't give up without a fight. As for Science Leadership Academy, they have already played their next matchup, a 14-4 loss against Central on the 23rd.
