Football Recap: Timnath Cubs vs. Poudre Impalas
Timnath had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They enjoyed a cozy 22-6 victory over the Poudre Impalas. The win was some much needed relief for the Cubs as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Timnath can attribute much of their success to Mitchell Deangelis, who rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns.
Timnath wouldn't let Poudre keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Timnath can thank Max Kolczak and Gunnar Juarez for forcing both of them. Juarez's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making two total tackles.
Poudre's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Timnath will look to defend their home field on Friday against Severance at 7:00 p.m. Timnath is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season. As for Poudre, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Riverdale Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
