Basketball Recap: Carolina Forest Takes a Loss

Carolina Forest suffered their biggest defeat since December 21, 2023 on Thursday. They were dealt a 66-33 loss at the hands of the Conway Tigers. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Conway was led to victory by Trevon Johnson and Kayleb Mckinnon. Johnson went 7-for-9 en route to 17 points and four steals, while Mckinnon dropped a double-double with 16 points and 15 boards. That's the most points Mckinnon has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jordan Jenkins, who put up 11 points and six rebounds.

Carolina Forest's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Conway, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Carolina Forest nor Conway have any future games scheduled.
