Volleyball Game Preview: Fort Scott Tigers vs. Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles

The Fort Scott Tigers will take on the Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles in a tournament on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with 19 losses in a row, Fort Scott turned things around against Field Kindley on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Golden Tornado.

Fort Scott easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-19.

Maranatha Christian Academy won the last time they faced Lutheran and Abby Nash did her part to make sure it happened again. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Knights on Thursday with plenty of help from Nash, who had eight digs and three aces. She has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 24 times she's played.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-16, 25-7.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-25. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 28-4.
