Preview: Johnson-Brock Eagles vs. Sacred Heart Irish

The Johnson-Brock Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Sacred Heart Irish at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Johnson-Brock will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Johnson-Brock stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 76-45 victory over Exeter-Milligan/Friend at home. Given Johnson-Brock's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while Exeter-Milligan/Friend is ranked 110th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Johnson-Brock's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sloan Pelican, who scored 16 points along with five assists and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pelican has scored all season. Brody Koehler was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They skirted past Pawnee City 53-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Sacred Heart has posted yet this season.

Johnson-Brock pushed their record up to 14-0 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.73 points. As for Sacred Heart, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
