Basketball Recap: Bunceton Comes Up Short

Bunceton lost against St. Elizabeth back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bunceton Dragons took a blow against the St. Elizabeth Hornets, falling 76-33. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 315th, while the Hornets are ranked 92nd).

Bunceton has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for St. Elizabeth, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.

Bunceton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 47-39 win against Smithton on the 17th. St. Elizabeth has also already played their next contest, a 76-33 victory against Otterville on the 16th.
