Preview: Morton/White Pass Timberwolves vs. Kalama Chinooks
The Morton/White Pass Timberwolves will head out on the road to face off against the Kalama Chinooks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Morton/White Pass' 23-4 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a hard 72-57 fall against Eatonville on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Kalama, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They fell just short of Toledo by a score of 52-50. While losing is never fun, Kalama can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while Toledo is ranked 113th).
Morton/White Pass has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Kalama, they bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Morton/White Pass against Kalama in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 69-28 win. Will Morton/White Pass repeat their success, or does Kalama have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
