Baseball Recap: Gates County Red Barons vs. Camden County Bruins
Gates County extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping them up to 7-4. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Camden County Bruins a 4-0 shutout. Gates County got a great performance from Jacob Ross as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over 6.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Ross has posted since back in April of 2025.
At the plate, Andrew Brown was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Sean Rountree was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
