Softball Recap: St. Albans Comes Up Short

St. Albans managed to slip by Winfield the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Red Dragons lost 9-1 to the Generals on Friday. The Red Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Paige White made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one double.

St. Albans' loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Winfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Albans will host Sissonville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Red Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Winfield, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Scott at 6:00 p.m.
