Basketball Recap: Crest's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Crest entered their matchup against Hendersonville on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Crest Chargers took a 57-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hendersonville Bearcats. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bearcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Crest lost, don't look at De'Kaylia Davis. Despite the final result, she posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Zoi Richardson, who put up eight points.

Crest's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3. As for Hendersonville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.

Crest will take on Asheville at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hendersonville, they will square off against East Henderson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hendersonville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
