Softball Game Preview: Randleman Tigers vs. Eastern Randolph Wildcats

The Randleman Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Eastern Randolph Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Randleman's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Eastern Randolph's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Randleman fell victim to West Forsyth and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 6-0 to the Titans. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Eastern Randolph duked it out with Ledford on Wednesday. The Wildcats fell 7-4 to the Panthers. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eastern Randolph saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raegan Beaver, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Hailey Ritter was another, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Randleman's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Eastern Randolph, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Randleman beat Eastern Randolph 6-1 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
