Football Recap: Palmer Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Palmer ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against the High Plains Storm by a score of 36-28. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 51-8 loss the last time these two teams met.

Lane Mottl was nothing short of spectacular: he picked up 127 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Those 127 receiving yards gave him a new career-high.

Palmer didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jackson Friedrichsen and William Scheer.

Palmer's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.0 points over those games. As for High Plains, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Palmer will take on Nebraska Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for High Plains, they will face off against Riverside at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
