Softball Game Preview: Skyline Eagles vs. Park City Miners

Skyline is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Park City a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Skyline Eagles will be playing at home against the Park City Miners at 3:30 p.m. Skyline has given up an average of 13.5 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Skyline lost 25-7 to Hillcrest on Thursday.

Isabella Rasmussen was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Cundick, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Park City came into Friday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They won by a run and slipped past Jordan 7-6.

Park City got a big performance out of Madeline Reddy, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. What's more, Reddy posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Dylan Radziukinas, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Park City was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Park City, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5.

Everything went Skyline's way against Park City in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, as Skyline made off with a 16-10 win. Will Skyline repeat their success, or does Park City has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
