Baseball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Mt. Pleasant ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Alpena Wildcats 6-5. The Oilers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Mt. Pleasant's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brogan Parks, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Those two hits gave Parks a new career-high.

Mt. Pleasant pushed their record up to 10-10-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Alpena, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

As of now, neither Mt. Pleasant nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
