Baseball Recap: Edgemont Gets the Win

Edgemont was forced to take a big defeat against they on Saturday, they got the better of them on Tuesday. They skirted past the Eastchester Eagles 4-2. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Eagles on Saturday, they had to take a 13-3 loss.

Ari Malz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Edgemont secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Richard Fawcett, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Edgemont's record now sits at 5-14. As for Eastchester, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 6-3 record.

Looking ahead, Edgemont will be playing at home against Rye Neck at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Eastchester does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
