Softball Recap: Woodson Takes a Loss

Woodson's last matchup with South County could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Wednesday. The Cavaliers lost 12-2 to the Stallions. The defeat continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their meetings with the Stallions: they've now lost four in a row.

Grace Hartley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base was her first of the season.

Woodson's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for South County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodson will face off against Robinson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cavaliers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season. As for South County, they will take on Lake Braddock at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Stallions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bruins have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
