Basketball Game Preview: Chesterfield Golden Rams vs. North Central Knights

The Chesterfield Golden Rams will head out to take on the North Central Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Chesterfield and 11 for North Central dating back to last season.

On Tuesday, Chesterfield came up short against Cheraw and fell 51-43.

Meanwhile, North Central played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 61-38 to Andrew Jackson. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 270th, while the Volunteers are ranked 57th).

Chesterfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for North Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Chesterfield ended up a good deal behind North Central when the teams last played back in February of 2024, losing 69-51. Can Chesterfield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
