Basketball Recap: Perspectives Leadership/Technology Find Success

Perspectives Leadership/Technology won the last time they faced Amundsen, and Karla Thomas did her part to make sure it happened again. The Perspectives Leadership/Technology Warriors walked away with a 68-55 victory over the Amundsen Vikings on Friday thanks in part to Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 15 boards. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Jada Morgan was another key player, going 5 of 11 on her way to 13 points and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Amundsen lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jane Belmont, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 16 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Robinson, who posted ten points and five assists.

The win got Perspectives Leadership/Technology back to even at 4-4. As for Amundsen, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Perspectives Leadership/Technology wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 75-34 loss against Kenwood on the 16th. As for Amundsen, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-36 defeat against Resurrection on the 14th.
