Softball Recap: Foresthill Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Foresthill walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 19-17 win over the Valley Christian Lions on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Wildfires in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won six in a row.

Fallon Parks was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Miller, who went 3-for-5 with six RBI, one triple, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Foresthill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Foresthill's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Valley Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Coming up, Foresthill will take on Denair at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Valley Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
