Basketball Game Preview: Tuscarora Titans vs. Linganore Lancers

Tuscarora is 2-8 against Linganore since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Tuscarora Titans just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Linganore Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, Tuscarora was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 61-56 to Frederick.

Meanwhile, Linganore entered their tilt with South Hagerstown on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They enjoyed a cozy 66-51 win over the Rebels.

Linganore's win came from a few key players Tuscarora will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brandon Donaldson, who went 8 for 17 en route to 25 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Cory Clark, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Linganore's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.1 points per game. As for Tuscarora, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Tuscarora lost to Linganore at home by a decisive 66-50 margin when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Tuscarora avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
