Baseball Recap: Winchendon Wapiti vs. Hopkins Hilltoppers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Winchendon can now relate to. They fell 4-0 to the Hopkins Hilltoppers on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Wapiti's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Winchendon got a good showing from Jack Cronin, who struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. That's the fewest hits Cronin has allowed since back in April.
