Softball Recap: Mountlake Terrace Has No Trouble Against Shorecrest

Mountlake Terrace barely beat Shorecrest the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Mountlake Terrace blew past Shorecrest 12-2 on Monday. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Scots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Amaya Johnson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. Johnson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Jordyn Stokes was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Evie Snow was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base.

Mountlake Terrace was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shorecrest only posted a batting average of .105.

Mountlake Terrace's record now sits at 4-2. As for Shorecrest, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
