Soccer Recap: Irvington Comes Up Short

Irvington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kennedy Titans. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly two goals.

Irvington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Kennedy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0-1.

Irvington and Moreau Catholic will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kennedy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against San Leandro at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Kennedy's defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so San Leandro's offense will have their work cut out for them.
