It was a good run, but Oskaloosa unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Wellsville Eagles by a score of 9-8. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 5-0.

Brynn King made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Lydia Turner, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one double.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 16-5. As for Wellsville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oskaloosa will face off against Onaga at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears are on a five-game streak of home wins, the Buffaloes a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. As for Wellsville, they will welcome Iola at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
