Holy Trinity barely beat Westmont the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers never let the Sentinels get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Wednesday. Considering the Tigers have won 14 contests by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Matt Diaz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three runs and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other batting news, Aiden Figueroa was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
